Leta Hatley is a Bay Area, California fashion designer who has been designing for over 12 years. She has built and directed her own successful clothing company that was founded on the idea of bringing funky conscious clothing with sustainability into the forefront of her community. Her strong passion and commitment to build community has manifested through mentoring youth and sharing her vision and designs through teaching workshops and classes . 
 
Leta Hatley earned her B.S. Degree in Textiles and Clothing from California Polytechnic University . Leta has her clothing lines in boutiques throughout the Bay Area and will be expanding to other boutiques across California this fall. Her work is an eclectic mix of contemporary, earthy, and urban fashions mixed with elements of the past and allusions to the future
 
Mavazi Ya Roho, which means “clothes for the soul” in Swahili is an eclectic styling mix of handmade contemporary, earthy, conscious, funky urban fashions with various elements of the past, present and future. Clothes 4 the Soul creations are versatile yet functional.

Mavazi Ya Roho (Mavazi for short) possesses a unique blend of function, fashion, comfort and versatility. “As a designer, I strive to combine global elegance as well as unexpected plays in proportion to produce a product that is pleasing to the eye, pleasing to the body and satisfying to the soul."
