All I've Got

(Is Everything)

Sometimes
all I've got
is a positive thought
but I'll share it with you
if you'd like

ain't got a penny in my pocket
or a roof over my head
but there's a smile on my face
so I know things aren't that bad

my feet can still keep beat
to rhythms made by friends

and my own two hands
seem to weave magic just fine

I've got stone soup in my bowl
and 100 names warming my soul

and my heart
and the universal love
seem to be beating in time

sometimes
all I've got
is everything

Celina Wigle (Celestial Concubine)
I received my BA in English from PSU in 2006 and spent the following two years living, this poem is one of the many that is the product of that.  I have recently released a self published zine called "Word(s)!"-this poem is not included in that.  I go by Celestial Concubine in the Portland Poetry scene and can be seen sharing smiles at Alberta Street Public house, The Blue Monk, 3 Friends Coffee House,

and Aftermath.
