A Lover's Prayer

I pray to the heavens and mountains within me.
I pray to the depths and valleys below.
I exalt the perfection created in me
and acknowledge that small voice trying to assert otherwise.
I know now from whence it came.
Naming first source ensures its return.
The chorus of cynics now all in their proper place,
the Protagonist moves upstage unfettered.
I pray to my true self, connected and worthy.
I pray to my vision, be it keen and perceptive.
I pray to my aims, be they authentic and true.
and I pray to my Light, be it forever extending to
YOU.
"I am a Chicago based artist. I make what I call Fluidikons - single line wire sculptures that attach to paintings or hang alone. I'm gay, a former Benedictine monk, spent a few years gathering information infiltrating the KKK in Indiana and am now this years Mr. CellBlock Leatherman. My artwork visually reflects my spiritual journey. Feel free to check out my website www.fluidikons.com"
