Dance like nobody's watching;
love like you've never been hurt.
Sing like nobody's listening;
live like it's heaven on earth.
- Mark Twain
Welcome, beautiful people, to another issue of Divine Revolution Magazine. The above quote is one of my very favorites. The freedom, creativity and open-heartedness it suggests are some of the best jewels of wisdom I've ever read. So simple, so light.
Spring is here. The season of fertility, new growth, planting and love. I'm in love with a wonderful man who will soon be my husband. How amazing and exciting to find someone to shine with, someone to build with and be with. It can be a touchy process - opening the heart. Many of us have experienced painful complicated things that we associate with love. It may become hard to actually let another person in. What a courageous act, to love anyway.
My father bought my daughter a cute little DVD called Little Bear. In one of the episodes a boy skunk is wondering through the forest looking for someone to kiss him. At the same time a girl skunk is preparing herself for her wedding, although she doesn't know who she'll marry yet. The two love-minded. skunks bump into eachother and simultaneously ask, "Will you marry me?"
At there wedding ceremony their only vows are to kiss eachother forever. I love it! Can it really be that simple? Quite possibly.
I wish for you all the love and joy you can possibly stand at this beautiful time of the year.
Yours,
