under this summers moon,
how gentle everything becomes-
never ending, quiet, silent and so simple.
How sweet a kiss can be,
like that of a child.
Oh, Venus,
how did we conjure up such beauty?
How did we create such colour,
sound,
such splendor?
It took only remembering-
It took knowing that each cell ...
holds
a beautiful experience in living-
each spirit we meet
along our sacred journey,
is another member of our family,
and the door
to our heart,
is home.

By day I teach art to children; by night I make art. My students, the boxer dog and two cats who choose to live with me provide endless inspiration through their life force and joy.
Capturing spirit through intuition and symbol is primary to my creative process. Story in the form of myth, nature, poetry, and fashion provides fuel for the fire.
Paint, pastel, and recycled materials appear at precise moments of need. The resulting alchemy remains deeply mysterious to me.
