The Beer Run Ran Over My Heart

I got the hint tonight
a glint, and i cringed
to see you walking in
my eyes melt with sorrowful sorrow for the sunsets come tomorrow
a fresh breath of air, and we fall over again with the leaves
"you're not who i thought you were", you said
but, that's no surprise
when I saw the tiniest bit of suspicion in your eyes
You knew about mr. moon
about how he saw myself turning blue over you
while twisting, turning, and laughing aside all the circular conversations we put away
I wanted you to know that I saved them by the way.
I keep them inside my back pocket for incase my airplane returns with an empty seat, and
my presence remains absent from the Ashland streets.
This is the place my two feet lived, loved, and fled away.
I saved everything, I say,
For incase the sunsets come tomorrow and we forget each others name these days
