Form 2008 - Artist Independence
by WE Design

Williams-England or WE Design is a small multidisciplinary design firm located in Atlanta, GA launched last year by best friends and designers, Jamie England and Marcus Williams. This creative co-op offers graphic, interior and furniture design services to individuals and small businesses. Their motto: “We believe in designing a better world by coming together, sharing together, creating together and ultimately succeeding together!”
Having so many facets open they try to maintain a balance with the ventures they take on, as Jamie states, “there is never a shortage of things we want to be involved in or create, we try to prioritize and dedicate our time to projects that are important to us and will hopefully make a difference.” They maintain this goal in everything they do whether focusing on sustainable interiors and furniture design or creating handmade journals from recycled/reclaimed materials.
Their current project, FORM: Artistic Independence 2008, Atlanta, will be a published body of 100 collective works from Atlanta’s local designers, artists, photographers and other media. The idea behind FORM is to give emerging Atlanta creatives the opportunity to come together and show the world their work and ideas through a professional published medium. Marcus tells us, “We believe in collaborative efforts and the benefits it yields for individuals and the community. This book not only benefits artists/designers but all those aiding artistic awareness which enriches our environment with all the ‘forms’ that make Atlanta an amazing place to live/create/be.” “Young artists and designers have to break down a lot of barriers and obstacles to be seen, heard and respected in our society; we are facing these issues ourselves, we hope this book helps many people in this regard.”
FORM is being sponsored by local Atlanta retailers and will be available this Summer through Amazon.com. To find out more about WE Design and new projects visit www.williams-england.com.
